Rhodes is a safe island in all respects!

A conference was held by the Greek Foreign Minister, Mr. Nicos Kotzias for the 3rd consecutive year in Rhodes on “Security and Stability”with participants from;

States from the Southeast/Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, cooperation Agencies Arab countries as well as observers from countries outside the region, such as Viet Nam, Colombia and Indonesia.

The spouses of the Ministers and Ambassadors were overjoyed with Rhodes at first glance! The ladies took a sightseeing tour, accompanied by the wife of the Major of Rhodes, Mrs. Agapi Hatzidiakou– as a tour guide together with, Deputy Mayor for Tourism & Public Relations, Mrs. Marisa Hadjilazarou and other officials. The tour of the island was an ideal opportunity to explore the local life and discover the beauty of the island! The tour passed traditional villages, and magnificent beaches both on the East and West coast, the ladies had the chance to socialize with the locals and learn more about the island and everyday life.

Head Office of communication, Public and International relations of the municipality of Rhodes Mrs. Maria Karampini, accompanied the ladies on a boat cruise to Lindos arrange by Mr. Nikos Kalafatas. A great opportunity to see the East coast and the marvelous beaches and location set by the sea.

When the ladies arrived in Lindos, a perfection selection of walking through the cobble streets of the village, a view of the traditional Lindian white washed houses and shops including the worldwide renowned Acropolis of Lindos, enriching the ladies knowledge on the history and the culture of Rhodes over the centuries. Ms. Maria Combourouplouolos/Painter, hosted a lunch at the Aqua Grand Hotel in their honor.

The Ministers & Ambassadors spousesthanked the Mayor of Rhodes, Mr. Fotis Hatzidiakos and all the team who contributed to the memorable tours and the hospitality received from the locals, saying “that we would certainly come again for a private holiday and a longer stay.

All of the ladies said that Rhodes is a safe island in all respects.”Many thanks were given to Ms. Chatzidiakou for the symbolic commemorative gift on behalf of the Mayor of Rhodes, depicting the deer of Rhodes and Ms. Hadjilazarou for the beautiful gift boxes with traditional local products, offered by the local companies; Natura Rodos-Stavros George Callaso.e and n. Tatakis AE-Tatakis Wines.
